I wanted to play up the soft pastel palette against the black rocks of Fingal Heads. The garments for this shoot supplied by Begitta came from her Doll House Collection which inspired the doll-like poses used throughout this shoot. Kudos must go to Nicole for negotiating the rocks in towering heels, all for that ‘perfect shot’.

True to the English translation of this Portuguese word meaning Beauty, there was no word more fitting to encapsulate this shoot with Brazilian model Renata @ Division Model Management.

An absolutely stunning location to match the gorgeous swimwear supplied by Jaymes Swimwear and incredible talent of photographer Glen Bowden and the clean, fresh makeup of Mia Connor.

As promised here is the next instalment of my shoot with Glen Bowden and Shannon from Division Model Management. This shoot has a very different feel to that of the first series yet ties in the same metal and structural elements. I wanted to style this with a sexy twist on the classic rock chic. As it turns out my choice of model was perfect, Shannon loves her classic old school rock music which really comes across in the images. The title of this shoot was inspired by the song of said title by The Cult – Shannon was heading to their concert after the shoot!

I love contrast – the wet look tights ( I personally LOVE Sass & Bide Black ‘Rats’ tights – a must have for your winter wardrobe!) paired with a fine lace sheer top and the heavy metal of the YUMIe cuffs and neck chains.

Finding the perfect location for this series was a fun challenge. After scouting around for an hour or so prior to the shoot we stumbled across the Gold Coast Titans Stadium in Robina. Being a weekday the place was deserted so we pulled off a guerrilla style shoot. This further added to the excitement of the shoot knowing full well that we could be asked to move on at any time. Here are the results….

Aphrodisiac Jacket

It has been some time since I have posted any new work despite being involved in many shoots of late. So I thought it was about time I share some of my most recent work. I won’t bombard you with everything at once so stay tuned for more updates in the coming days. I would love to hear your feedback.

When working on the concept for this shoot the ideas that first came to mind and what I eventually briefed the client on was;

Wardrobe: Sexy, edgy street inspired fashion pieces, straight lines and structure, leather, with a hint of rocker feel.

When scouting a location I wanted strong lines of metal with a slight industrial feel, whilst keeping the background fairly subtle.

Although it now seems like a lifetime ago, last week I had the extreme privilege of working behind the scenes on the Sara Phillips show at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. Unfortunately I was not styling, this task was appointed to the very talented and much respected Ryan Lobo. It was however a fantastic experience non-the-less and I have to urge all of you to check out Sara’s latest Collection!

Sara’s SS 2010/11 High Noon collection is gorgeous! The soft pastel palette is well balanced with the structured, tailored pieces. Sara’s collection included cropped suede jackets, knife pleated one-shouldered dresses, intricately ruffled skirts, embellished necklines and sheer feminine blouses – just stunning!
